Culturally Responsive Classroom Practices Using The Aligning Learning With Learners Guide Online Training

Training 1) Monday, February 1, 2010 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Training 2) Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Training location:

This will be an online training. You will need access to a phone and the Internet.  Log-in and phone information will be sent following registration.

Training description:

This online training will introduce health educators to culturally responsive classroom principles and practices. Participants will also be introduced to the Rocky Mountain Center’s online tool -Aligning Learning with Learners Guide (ALL Guide). The ALL Guide is a resource for health educators interested in establishing culturally responsive classrooms and in using instruction and assessment strategies that provide all students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to choose health-promoting behaviors. The ALL Guide includes a self-assessment, information, resources, and tools to help educators enhance their health education instruction, assessment, and classroom environments to meet the diverse needs of all of their students.

Credit

An additional Online Course will be offered for those participants interested in obtaining  .5 graduate credit hours through Adams State College
