Graduate Course 2011-2012

Creating a Health Promoting School

Message from Tracy Wright, Instructor:

Welcome to the webpage for the Adams State Graduate Course titled “Creating a Health Promoting School.” This is a 1.5 credit hour, (mostly) independent study course, open to active NEW co-leaders of school-level Coordinated School Health teams who are just beginning in the CSH process!

The intent of this independent study course is to support your work on your school’s Coordinated School Health Team and help you “go deeper” in your understanding of research and practices that strengthen the link between health and academics.

You will be working primarily on your own with guidance and resources from RMC Health and your district or regional coordinator.  We will support your work throughout the school year with information and resources to help you complete the independent study course and the implementation of Coordinated School Health in your school. I welcome your questions and comments during the school year.

The course runs from October 1, 2011 through May 15, 2012. To register, please click here.  Contact Tracy Wright at tracyw@rmc.org if you have any questions or problems registering for the course. All registrations must be received by October 31, 2011.
