Maureen Bailey started at RMC Health in November 2021 and is a Lead Professional Learning Facilitator and Senior Data and Evaluation Analyst. She develops and implements procedures for effective data collection, management, and analysis, and leads reporting needs for RMC Health and its clients. Maureen also leads healthy schools work and supports districts and wellness coordinators by creating and facilitating skills-based professional development that aligns with the WSCC Model and provides individualized technical assistance.
Prior to joining RMC Health, Maureen was the Director of School Wellness and Youth Initiatives at the be well Health and Wellness Initiative of The Foundation for Sustainable Urban Communities and was a high school teacher in Denver Public Schools. Maureen is passionate about health and educational equity. She has developed professional learning opportunities for teachers and school staff to support establishing and maintaining inclusive classrooms and has provided grant writing workshops to school communities looking to create community gardens and expand healthy living opportunities for students. She has also supported schools in writing wellness policies that: increase drinking water access for students, provide healthy vending options, expand lunch times for students, and incorporate mindfulness practices and brain breaks in classrooms.
Maureen has presented at local and national conferences, including the Midwest Political Science Association, the International Studies Association, and she was invited to present at the 2020 Colorado League of Charters Annual Conference.
Maureen has an MSc from the London School of Economics and an MA from the University of Colorado Boulder. She has a BA in Public Management and Political Science from Lindenwood University.
Maureen loves to spend time hiking with her husband, visiting national parks, traveling abroad and drinking coffee.
