Ruth Márquez started at RMC Health in November 2021 and is currently a Lead Professional Learning Facilitator designing, developing, and implementing training for RMC partnerships.
Before RMC, Ruth developed an array of courses and led learning initiatives in private industry, government, nonprofit and higher education. Ruth’s expansive work includes roles as a consultant, education analyst, senior training specialist, learning leader and higher education instructor. Ruth was also a k-12 communications writer and editor, raising awareness on youth issues for five years. She returned to training for the State of Colorado, then revitalized career training for an established nonprofit. Ruth’s prior learning assessment (PLA) work in the community college system helped create a stackable credential path to a 4-year degree. Ruth recently designed and implemented a collegiate-modeled upskilling program for a financial services enterprise.
Ruth’s published articles on training practices reach a national audience. Ruth has presented to the National Association of Procurement Officials, Colorado Division of Youth Services, Adelante, Mujer Hispana Conferees and to youth at the Latin American Heritage Camp. Ruth has spoken on multi-cultural workplace issues on college campuses and was featured as a Denver’s Top Trainers panelist. Ruth is an adjunct business instructor at the Community College of Aurora, where she was nominated for the Dr. Linda and Roger Bowman Award for Instructional Excellence. Ruth serves as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for Arapahoe County youth.
Ruth holds a B.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of Northern Colorado and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Learning and Performance. Ruth holds Association for Talent Development (ATD) Certificates in Developing Learning and eLearning, Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) Certificate of Effective Teaching Practices, WorkPlace Big Five Profile Consultant Certification, Colorado State Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education Credential for Career and Technical Education, and the University of Denver Publishing Institute Certificate.
Ruth treasures time with family and friends, excellent books, summiting Colorado 14-ers, serving community, running, and Wolf Creek Pass. She is a fan of baseball history, classical piano, and dance.
